Today was the first time we met since our ward split. It was interesting, because it was the second Sunday of the month, but it was Fast Sunday, and we had a schedule similar to 5th sunday disscussion! For those reading from Desert Willow Ward, Doris Habich was called as the RS President. I was recalled as the Enrichment COunselor (for a interim basis). Kendra and Lori were also recalled. Malisa C. is still Primary President, with Alisson S. and Margie R. as her counselors. That was it for the callings for today. The major difference that in the old ward we had something 36 active young men. After the split we have 2! We also had 14 active young women and now we have 4! Also our ward now has NO senior primary. But we kept 3 out of the 4 nurseries. So it is a interesting adjustment. The building is actually 2 stories, which was really different to me. The primary meets upstairs, and everything else is downstairs. One thing that hasn't changed is that we still had 3 baby blessings today! The other wards that meets before us were so kind, and welcoming. I'm really excited and looking foward to the change!
P.S. I'm so excited for Cori G, and Angela G. (from the Desert Willow Ward) on your new callings! I know you will do wonderfully! We miss you!

Well, maybe it was a good thing that we got split from your ward or there would have been 4 baby blessings. We blessed Zach, but he was the only one and probably for awhile.
Wow. I can't believe all the changes!
I for one want to say that I liked our new ward. I guess the real changes are going on over at the Desert Willow Ward with all of the new callings that everyone is getting over there. I too am happy for Cori G. about her new calling and know that she'll do an excellent job!
Sara thank for sharing the changes- It sounds like our ward in UT and like our ward here! Except there are only 2 nurseries here- a senior and junior. But I don't think we have a senior primary either. Good luck with everything. We still don't know if we will ever be back- but we are hoping:)
You are so sweet! Thank you for the well wishing on the new calling - it is genuinely appreciated. Will you be going to book club at the end of the month? I hope to see you there!
I hope it goes well for you! It's always an adjustment changing wards you know. But with new wards come new friends etc etc.
It sure is odd that there's not many youth or primary. I hope the youth get the support they need!! Pretty tough. Maybe they can join up with the others.
I was Enrichment leader for a year!! Just when they were to change it to 4 times a year they released me. LOL Just when it was going to get easy!!
