It just....
Bursitis. I have been having severe pain in my right hip for about 3 weeks now. But it wasn't a pulled muscle because I have full range of motion without any pain. But if I bumped the outside of my hip, I thought I might actually die. Then my natural sleeping position was on my right side, so my body would just roll that way during the night, and I would have a really hard time getting up on the hip in the morning. Well, yesterday, after 3 weeks, I finally broke down and went to the doctor. She had me lay on my side, and then said "Well if its a tendon it would hurt here or here". She pushed on those spots- no pain. Then she said if its an inflammed bursa it will hurt here." Needless to say I may of let out a small yelp of pain, similar to a pain of just ripping off the whole leg. So she put me on an antinflammatory for 2 weeks, and physical therapy for 2 weeks to try and reduce the inflammation. If that doesn't work I would have to get a cortizone injection. Ugh!

I'm sorry to hear you are hurting! I, too, have that (boy, and to know we share a broken windshield too!) in my hip and yes, I feel your pain. No FuN At AlL!
Wow. I've never heard of that before. I hope it works out without the shot.
