Random Fun!

We had so much fun in Disneyland!! I know that alot of people say "Save your money because your kids won't remember Disneyland when they are 20 ,if you take them this young". I really disagree. There was so much to do and see. The shows were wonderful (The kids loved Alladin and Playhouse Disney). There were actually a ton of rides that they could go on (Their favorites being Buzz Lighyear Astro Blasters, Toy Story Mania, Winnie the Pooh, The Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Carribeain, and Monster's Inc.) Number 1 tip: Go after Labor Day. The longest we waited in any line was about 5 min! Tip number 2: Don't take your very loving, but sensitive little boy in the haunted mansion. But honestly, the best thing of all, the thing that Karl and I will remember, was the kiddos reaction to everything. Everything is so magical to them. It was great! Kyra just keeps talking about it non-stop. It was really cute...at the end of each day it seemed like she just had so much excitement and things to talk about she couldn't stand it. So she would ask to talk to grandma and grandpa and tell them about her day. Usually on the phone she would say "Hi. Love you. Bye" She talked EVERY NIGHT for about 20 minutes, and even then I had to force her to give me back the phone. So here is my last post about the "Happiest Place on Earth".

Here is the Kit-Kat Gang being silly in the Monster's Inc. car.

The kiddos loved Goofy, Mickey's and Minnie's House in Toontown. Especially Kyle because he could climb on everything. He had a great time. Here he is getting comfy in the Mouse's chair. Kyle even climbed on Minnie's kitchen table. Kyle couldn't get enough of Mickey's washing machine. It makes swooshing, and gurggly noises, and he kept trying to find out where it was coming from.Kyra seeing if there is anything good to eat in Minnie's fridge...lots of cheese:)They had a cake in Minnie's oven that would rise, and look like a frosted birthday cake, and then fall. The best part for Kyra, was the characters. Really, it was a million degrees, and Kyra was probably the millionth kid they had seen that day, but they really did such a good job with each kiddo. Here is Kyra getting Stitch's autograph. Pluto came sneaking up, and made the Shhhh sign to Kyra. Kyra started laughing and kept telling Stitch to look, but Stitch would look the other way, or act like he didn't know what Kyra was saying. He finally saw Pluto, jumped back surprised, and ran behind Kyra. She thought that was the funniest thing ever.
In California Adventure they had a forest area where Kenai and Koda lived. In this area there was the cutest little stream and cave that the kids could spash around in, but not get super wet. It was a pretty hot day, and it just instantly lifted the kids spirits.
They also have 2 other splash parks in California Adventure. Here is Kyle eyeballing the sprinklers.
The kids really like Goofy's Kitchen again. Here is the Goof doing a dance, and banging pots and pans with the kiddos.

Here is Kyra in Minnie's House, in front of her mirror, doing her hair and makup.

One of the last things we did was see the Pixar parade in California Adventure. It featured Mater and Lightening McQueen, Buzz, Woody, The Incredibles, Nemo, and Monsters Inc. Kyle was in heaven.

Here is Kyle trying to explain to Karl that the cars went that way, and trying to figure out why we weren't following them.

Well now we are back to real life. The kids are adjusting pretty well. They went through slight Daddy not being with them 24 hours a day withdrawls. Kyra has only asked 6 times (today) if we can go back to Disneyland tomorrow, and Kyle keeps walking around with the palms of his hands up asking "Where's Buzz". We can't wait until next time!

This was a great post. I loved all those video's you put up of the kids. Masaru wants to see the lightning McQueen one again and again. Sounds like it was worth the trip.
I think it really just might be the happiest place on earth.

I’m so glad you had such a fun trip!! Disneyland really is the happiest place on earth!!! I’m so impressed how fast you got your pictures on here! Millions of pics from a vacation can be so overwhelming! Good call on going after Labor Day. We went after Memorial Day. Not that same! We just used our fast passes wisely!! The Buzz Lightyear blaster ride had just opened so we went on it and loved it!! I don’t know if you did this, but after the ride, you write down your email address and they email you a pic while on the ride! Hilarious!! (Ugly, but hilarious!)

Thanks for all of your recent comments on my blog. I really might take you up on test driving your stroller! I’m sure you’re crazy busy getting ready for Enrichment tomorrow, but I just wanted to let you know that I’m really looking forward to it! I feel like I always miss the fun RS activities and I’m seriously excited about it! Although I’m going to feel really bad if we don’t have any of the YW show up to help. See you tmrw!

It looks like you guys had so much fun!!! I remember as a kid, it really did feel like the happiest place on earth. My parents went a couple of weeks ago (just the 2 of them) and they said it wasn't any fun at all without kids.

I work for Meridian Magazine and Family Leader Network and I put together the 'save the family' video from Youtube that you embedded in an earlier entry. I'm so glad you enjoyed it! By the way, the video of your son watching the parade with lightning mcqueen rolling by was very cute! He just wanted to run out there and see him! (I would too if I were him)
