First Day!

In August Kyra started Kindergarten, and Kyle started preschool! (I know I'm like 4 months late...) Kyra is attending a charter school, because with her birthday in the middle of September, she missed the cutoff to start public kindergarten by a couple weeks But charter schools allow you to start as long as your birthday is before Dec. 31st. She is LOVING school, and doing great. We are very lucky, because she is in a class of only 20, and has her regular teacher and then a full time aid. So far her favorite classes have been Spanish, art, PE, karate (periodically), and they are just starting archery. She is so excited for her field trip to the zoo in a couple weeks. The thing we like best about the school is the small feel to it. All the teachers know all the kids names, and most of them know Kyle and Carters as well. Recently reports cards came out, so at lunch time the school had a barbque with the kids to celebrate the end of the first trimester. Kyra had a fantastic report card! We are so proud of her! Here she is on the first day of school. Sporting her new backpack. And with her teacher Ms. Neumann
Kyle stared Preschool at Jumpstart with Mrs. Jo-Anne. He LOVES every minute of it. He learns so many things, and a lot of things that I just woudn't think to teach him. Recently they learned about Thanksgiving, the pilgrims and the Indians. On their Indian day they all recieved new indian names. Kyle was "Wild River", and even now will stop randomly and throw down a good old Indian chant!
Kyles new backpack! Kyle with Mrs. Jo-Anne!
Whoo Hoo for school!

You have smart babies, Sara! And you are so blessed with so,many options for schooling. We don't even have a preschool here.
