WELLNESS CHALLENGE!!!
Have you heard about this?!?!? There is another wellness challenge going on here, and here so you can get an idea how it works. Click on all the links and it will make sense. But basically if you are up for the challenge, you put $10 into the pot. It is a 3 month challenge. There are 10 tasks to complete each day, and you get a point for each task that you do. Some are to help you lose weight, other spiritual, others to help get your house together and organized. Anyway, if you are interested leave me a comment, and if there are enough ladies I will make a quick little blog, to keep track of all of our points. And all of us can post helpful tips, or what our goals are for the week, etc. Then at the end of the three months the points will be totaled and the pot will be split in a similar way to how it is set up on the example blog. I think there will be one or two things I would want to do differently. First, there would only be 6 days a week where you exercise for 45 minutes (so we can take sunday off) and I think I would throw in a couple extra bonus point tasks, just to mix it up, every couple of days. Let me tell you now, there are 3 or 4 tasks that will be really hard for me to get my points for each week! I really hope you guys will join me, and see how different our daily lives will be after 3 months!
P.S. Its all honor code.
P.S.S Some of the daily goals are read your scriptures for 10 minutes. Write in your journal. Drink 6 glasses of water. You get a point if you don't drink any soda (ya I'm screwed!), that sort of thing.

Hey- it sounds really interesting, but in all honesty will I be able to accomplish these right now with a new baby & 3 other kids? Just wondering before I get in way over my head!
Life w/ three little ones is a challenge-especially when you have a baby who has extra special needs. :)
It has taken me a year and I have never been where I was- w/ everything- before 3 kids.
I just found a new way- like each night I write down what I want to get done for the next day- like exercise, something for the kids, and something for the house/family. It is just impossible to get it all done- everyday. :) Good luck w/ your wellness challenge. I know I could not possibly get 10 things done-most likely- but I do what is most important for me and my family.- Someday- when the kids are older- I'll be able to get more done- but if the kids are happy and I do something for me (exercise and if time crafting) then things are good. I'm really thinking of hiring a housekeeper to help me :) ha

oh and I'm returning to FlyLady's routines as they totally save me!
SWEET, I'm in!
I'm in!
Love Mom
I am actually doing one right now and it is not going so well, maybe 2nd times a charm?? I am in.
Sounds like an awesome idea Sara! I'm in! :)
Sounds great, Sara! In fact I started dieting (or eating healthier) this week anyways. This will help encourage me to keep it up. I was thinking about joining something like this... luckily you made it happen. And if you feel too overwhelmed, I'm more than happy to help with anything!
Sara- I need this. Sounds fantastic. I'm in, but call me when you get it figured out so that I don't miss the start. I will send you my number in an e-mail.
I would love to do this with you guys, is it pregnancy friendly?
I'm in let me know when it starts
Cariann I think it would be really pregnany friendly, except maybe the 45 min of exercise and no eating after 8 pm. Maybe we could think of two alternative things for pregnany mamas or post baby mamas...any suggestions??
Wish I could participate, but I am not able to at the moment. But I am a GREAT cheerleader and will encourage you along the way! GO SARA!!!!!!
Sara...You ROCK! I'm totally IN! I need something to kick my bootie and get me motivated! I'm excited!
Steph G. is in!
Rainy R is in!
Shasta B. is in
Beth L. is in, because she is a best buddy, and I'm the queen of peer pressure! Haha!
Count me in too!
Sounds great, let me know when it starts! I'm still post C-section, so the 45 min exercise will have to wait for a couple more weeks, but I'll see if I can think of an alternative...
This sounds perfect. even if I dont get all the points one day... the next day is a new day and that is encouraging. I bet i can get jamie to join too! Perfect idea. It makes it even better with a little friendly competition.
I'm in too!!
For the pregnancy, thing, we could just forgo the not eating after 8, maybe change it to something like no junk food after 8 (sorry, don't get to follow those cravings!!!) and for the exercise, light exercise for 30 a day is actually good while you're pregnant unless you're on bedrest...so maybe it could be something like reading out loud to your kid for 45 minutes or learning something new...(like researching how to do something, or trying new recipe)...
Im totally In!!!! and totally excited!
