So for about a week now I have had some pain in my upper abdomen, and sharp pain around my right sholder blade. It was ESPECIALLY bad at night. I finally sucked it up and went to the doctor, who after an exam suggested that it was one of these 3 things: an ulcer, something wrong with my pancreas, or my gall bladder. She ordered an ultrasound and bloodwork. The only thing that popped up is that the walls of my gall bladder are much thicker than they should be, which can be caused by various things. So the next step is that I will go to St. Joseph's, where they will give me a pill to swallow, which I think releases some type of chemical or dye into my system. I leave, and come back 4 hours later and they do a CT scan and it will show how well the gallbladder is functioning, along with double checking the pancreas and liver. In the meantime the doctor gave me some medication, that seems to really be helping. So I'm relived that it sounds like it just the gallbladder, which is an outpatient surgery, and you can go about your normal routine the next day (just can lift anything heavier than 30 lbs for a while). But overall I'm feeling much better....poor Karl has been putting up with a lot this last week.
To add insult to injury, this morning I woke up early to shower, and get ready to go, becasuse I had to drop Kyra off at preschool at 9, be VT at 9:15, Kyles Mover's Shakers class by 10, drop off library books after class, and then pick Kyra back up by 11:30. Well I get myself and the kiddos all ready, and load everything up in the van, and the van wouldn't start! Grrrr....So I call Karl, he isn't at his desk. Try his pager, and he is some top secret area where the pager doesn't work or something like that. So we are stuck. Finally get ahold of Karl about an hour later, he comes home, takes the battery out, and goes down to AutoZone. Its still under warrenty, so they have to charge it for an hour, and if it holds charge, then we get our old battery back. If it doesn't hold charge they give us a new one for free. So Karl, rather than waiting goes back to work which is about a 45 min. drive. So he ended up missing most of the morning of work. The kiddos and I were able to stay home all day, and actually went through Kyles room, and sorted out all of his small clothes, and baby toys, and made it much more of a toddler room, with his trucks and trains more accessable and organized. As soon as Karl got home we get in his car. Run over to auto zone. The battery held charge, so we just got our old one back. We pop it back into the van and it starts!!! So although a long day, in the end we got some stuff accomplished, the car is fixed without any cost, and we have at least a little information about why I wasn't feeling well. :)

I am sorry to hear that you weren't feeling well!! I am glad that you got it all figured out (hopefully). Take care and keep us updated on your blog on how you are doing!
Hopefully is is really simple like the gall bladder. Let me know if you need help with the kids at any time. Bailey would love to hae Kyra to play with and I am sure Brendon wouldn't mind finally ahving a boy his own age to play with!!!!
