Lessons from a 2 year old

Lately (okay, off an on, for a couple months) Kyra has been waking up at around 1 or 2 every night, and coming to snuggle in bed with us. We put her back in bed, and then 20 minutes later she does it again, throughout the whole night. This goes on until we are so exhausted that we don't even realize she has come back into our room. THen in the morning, she is still so tired, and GROUCHY because she hasn't slept well. We tried locking her door, but she then sits by it and cries and cries, and will eventually fall asleep. But, the downside is that at bedtime the next night instead of happily laying down, she screams and screams. So anyway...last night she came in at 2, Karl put her back to bed. She came in at 2:20, Karl put her back to bed again. She came in at 3. I put her back in bed, give her her cinderella doll and say nite nite. She says "Mommy, will you say a prayer with me to ask Heavenly Father to help me fall asleep". So we said a prayer together and she slept the rest of the night! Lessons from a 2 year old.

Wow! So simple and yet so powerful too! Isn't that such a good lesson. Why call Nanny Jo when you can go right to the source and ask Heavenly Father! Way to go Kyra!

Kids are so pure. I love it. What great lessons we can learn from them.

Man that's awesome. I'm so glad it works.
We struggle with Masaru getting up to pee and not wanting to get back to his own bed. We've used the prayer as well and you're totally right, it works!!
Now why don't I use this for everything?
